How do we use this service?
1 Log in to your Aleph catalogue account and order the publications you want. Online orders can only be placed on Fridays between 9.00-19.00. The Remote Locker service will be activated every Friday at 9.00 am. This facility is only valid for publications that have ‘For Loan’ status (which can be borrowed at home).
2 Before completing your online order, select Remote Locker as the pick-up location (from the Central Unit).
3 Check your email address, you will receive a code/PIN and a QR code with which you can pick up the publications. Make sure you give us the email address you check most often. You can update your email address at any of the public contact points in both the head office and branch libraries. Didn’t receive your PIN and QR code in your email? Check that you haven’t received the email in SPAM.
Come down to our headquarters on the ground floor on Saturdays or Sundays from 8am to 8pm to pick up your Remote Locker publications.
Publications not picked up over the weekend will be returned on Monday morning to be put back into circulation.
The loan term is calculated from the time the publication is registered for placement at Remote Locker, i.e. on the day you place your order. To benefit from this service you must have your current year’s valid library pass/card.
